"Hague Apostille" on documents from Romania
The confirmation of the authenticity of a foreign document is usually carried out by a consulate of the country in which the document is to be used. This is done by applying a so-called legalization, also a confirmation of authenticity of the document.
For documents from numerous countries, legalization by the consulate is replaced by the so-called "Hague Apostille".
Many countries have joined the "Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 on the Abolition of the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Documents" (often called the Apostille Convention). Through this, documents from one country can be used in legal transactions in other countries, by applying a defined notice names "Hague Apostille" in the country of origin.
The Hague Apostille is accepted by all countries that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention.
Moreover, according to the Convention, certain original documents can even be used in the affiliate countries without this "Hague Apostille".
